Susan Lefaivre MA, LPC
Susan is a licensed behavioral mental health therapist in the State of Wisconsin and Illinois. She received her undergrad degree from St. Xavier’s University, Chicago, Il and her master’s degree in Clinician Mental Health Counseling from Judson University, Rockford, Il. Having previously worked in community mental health, she chose CHS because of the collaborative approach the agency provides for their clients (mental, medical and dental). She believes it is important to treat the “whole person, “physically as well as mentally.
Susan specializes in and is trained to work with children and adolescents. She believes empowering children helps them understand their world and themselves. They learn to live a life of self-awareness. Susan is a client-centered therapist who assists in the facilitation of creating a space for honest client expressions and emotions, while providing new perspectives for change. Therapeutic skills can include CBT, DBT and narrative therapies. Her approach is client driven with the support of family. The best part of Susan’s job is meeting new clients and collaborating with them on their mental health journey.
Outside of work, Susan enjoys gardening, reading and building/re-purposing furniture. She is an empty-nester who spends extra time with family and her pups - Stella and Odie.
