Summer is wrapping up, kids are heading back to school, the nights are cool, and before you know it, it will be Halloween. And the week before Halloween? If you haven’t already heard, that’s when we’ll be hosting our annual Trunk or Treat community outreach event.
Event details
On Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, from 5-7 p.m., Community Health Systems will host this event in the parking lot of Beloit Area Community Health Center.
The event will provide children a safe place to trick or treat, and give them the opportunity to show off their costumes. Our staff and community volunteers will gather and park their decorated vehicles in the parking lot, and pass out treats from the trunk of their vehicles.
Admission to the event is free, and partners like the Beloit Public Library Blender Café and area food trucks will be on hand as food vendors — because we know that eating candy for dinner can be tempting, but we don’t encourage it!
Interested in participating?
We’re hoping that you will be willing to provide an in-kind donation of candy to help us defray the cost of the event; for reference, CHS has seen this event grow to serve 1,000-plus children and families in recent years. We will gratefully acknowledge your donation in all media coverage of this event.
If you are interested in providing an in-kind or monetary donation or providing a trunk (with volunteers and candy, candy is not supplied by CHS) at the event, email Ana Montoya or call her at (608) 313-3376.
