Behavioral Health Director

Miller D. Knight Jr. has traveled the world to provide behavioral health services to the most underserved populations and brings more than two decades of behavioral health experience to our clinic. As the Behavioral Health Director, Don leads the Behavioral Health team in providing patients with quality care by treating the entire person. He believes that by doing so, patients can become healthy, and productive individuals.

Don has a master’s degree in professional counseling from Liberty University in Virginia, has attended a doctoral program in counseling psychology from Argosy University and is currently completing a doctoral program in general psychology from North Central University in Minnesota.

Before becoming the Behavioral Health Director, Don worked for more than 10 years in community mental health in North Carolina where he gained experience in the areas of severely mentally ill children and adults, substance abuse, juvenile detention, acute care, and detox services. His previous leadership roles include Clinical Director for at risk youth. Most recently, he spent four years in Okinawa, Japan with United States Marine Corps. providing counseling to military service members and their families.

Of all these experiences, Don shared that community health is where his heart is, “Community health is so important because if we can provide quality, proactive care, the patient and the community can thrive and build strong, empowered individuals and families.”
