Marilyn Harris, LPC
Marilyn Harris is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She works with clients from all age groups with special interest in those with a diagnosis of severe mental illness; victims of domestic/family violence and those with anxiety disorders.
She holds a Master of Science Education (MSE) Degree with emphasis on Adult Education. Marilyn has a background of providing in-house counseling services to persons with diagnosis of severe mental illness and was previous director of two domestic violence shelter programs.
“I believe education about how our environment can and does affect our thoughts, moods, behaviors and physical reactions is integral to therapy sessions. When possible, I like to use object lessons as part of therapy sessions and provide educational material for those interested in learning more about their illness.”
