BELOIT, Wis. — Last month, Community Health Systems, Inc. was pleased to welcome Dr. Manuj Goel as the new medical director of its Beloit clinic, Beloit Area Community Health Center.

“We are very fortunate to have him,” says Julie Sprecher, chief executive officer of CHS, Inc. “Dr. Goel is committed to our mission—“Comprehensive Care for Our Community”—and will be an integral part of growing our patient volume and providing quality care for the people we serve.”

Goel completed his medical residency and internship in Michigan, and formerly served as the director of a wound clinic in Mississippi. He comes to BACHC after practicing family medicine in Rochelle, Ill.

“I’m most excited about the future of this organization,” says Goel. “I’ve seen BACHC make great strides over the last year as well as make a huge positive impact on the community as a whole, since we serve people who don’t normally have easy access to quality health care.”

As chronic health conditions continue to plague increasing numbers of Americans, Goel is interested in helping his patients find ways to prevent and address their chronic conditions.

It’s a really rewarding experience to help people in need, especially those who might not be able to afford to see a doctor. You feel that you’re making an impact on chronic health issues such as diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc., which are becoming an epidemic across the country, and Rock County is no exception,” he says.
